DAY BY DAY

Day 1 – Belize River
Arrive

Arrive in Belize City and grab a cab to our jungle resort. You’ll start your trip immersed in nature, perched along the banks of the Belize River, which snakes through mile after mile of pristine rainforest. Get to know your new friends and kick back with a cocktail in hand as colorful, exotic birds fly overhead and the sounds of untouched wilderness fill the evening.

Dine with the group, and take a dip in the pool before you rest up—tomorrow’s your first full day of cultural exploration.

Day 2 – Altun Ha
Ancient Adventure

Grab some breakfast for yourself, and then we’re off to Altun Ha to check out the ancient Mayan ruins. This incredible city dates back to 900 BC and was inhabited for two-thousand years.

After exploring the tombs, pyramids and temples, we’ll grab lunch together and then set off on a tubing adventure through an incredible cave system nestled in the jungle. The mammoth chambers, stalagmites, and stalactites of this underground network once hosted Mayan ceremonies.

After that, we’ve got a ride to the port, and then it’s a 45-minute cruise over to Caye Caulker. The island is easy to navigate, and our hotel is right by the water.

Day 3 – Caye Caulker
I’m On a Boat

Today we’re headed out for a cruise on a private catamaran, sailing into the good life for a full day of aquatic adventure.

The local team will serve up lunch and the drinks will be cold, so you won’t have a care in the world as we hit the water. We’ll stop at five unreal snorkel spots, and you’ll have the chance to get up close and personal with one of the Caribbean’s most vibrant reefs and wildlife.

Spend the rest of the evening exploring this tropical paradise.

Day 4  – Caye Caulker
beaching it

Have breakfast at the hotel before enjoying a relaxing morning and more of that calm Caribbean way of life. We’ve got a surprise and a bit of fun in store before lunch.

In the afternoon, we’ll head towards the split, the Hurricane Hattie-chiseled channel on the northern end of the island. There’s a beachside palapa with your name on it and a round of drinks on us. Dig your feet in and spend some time in the sand with your new friends. The food’s great, the views are better, and you may even consider canceling your return ticket home...

That night, we'll celebrate this tropical adventure with one delicious farewell dinner.

Day 5 – Caye Caulker
farewell

All good things must come to an end.

Grab one last breakfast with friends before hopping on the ferry back to reality. Cruising out across the insanely beautiful colors of the Caribbean isn’t the worst way to end a trip.

You’ve got new friends and great memories from a week in paradise.

ABOUT BELIZE

Belize is both a natural and cultural paradise. The tiny nation is home to more than 900 ancient Mayan sites, the world’s only jaguar reserve, some 450 cayes, more than 500 species of birds, and the largest reef in the western hemisphere. It’s not surprising that tourism is fundamental to Belize’s economy, accounting for more than 44% of total GDP.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • The official language is English.

  • The Belize dollar is the official currency and it’s pegged at 2 to 1 American dollars.

  • Belize City is the largest urban center, but the capital is tiny Belmopan with 16,000 people!

TRIP NOTES

  • While we can’t guarantee private rooms, you should book your trip earlier if you prefer one, as they usually fill up.

  • Mid-day sun can be overpowering in Belize, we recommend finding some shade.

  • Life jackets are recommended when snorkeling for those who aren’t strong swimmers.

  • We may come across sharks, rays, eels, or barracudas. Don’t worry, they’re all more scared of you than you are of them!

  • All activities are weather dependent; in the unlikely event that we are unable to run an activity, we will have a suitable alternative in place.

  • For vegetarians and vegans, it's important to note that meat and seafood play a significant role in Belizean cuisine. While Belize is gradually becoming more accommodating to different dietary needs, options remain limited for those with these particular restrictions.
